Our story
Greece à la carte was born from a deep attachment to a country that has become, over the years, a second home. A simple desire, too: to introduce travelers to an authentic Greece, far from overcrowded beaches and rigid itineraries.
Byzantino Travel agency, operating under the name La Grèce à la carte, has been based in Athens for over thirty years. Over the decades, the team has developed an in-depth knowledge of the territory — from the Cyclades to the mountains of the Peloponnese, from the Ionian islands to remote villages in the north — and built lasting relationships with hosts, guides and artisans who share the same desire to share their country.
At the helm, Martine, a Swiss English-speaking professional based in Athens for over thirty-five years. With degrees in history, ethnology, geography and modern Greek, she designs each itinerary by blending academic rigor with lived experience. She is the one who establishes the programs, adjusts the services and guides travelers in discovering a Greece rich in emotions, colors, music and flavors.
